In this new Q&A-style website article series, we’ll be sitting down with real life Clayton Glass employees and finding out all about their history with the company, from the early days to where they are now, as well as exploring the aspects of the job they find rewarding. This time it’s Cassie Milligan, our esteemed colleague who works in the finance department based in Harelaw

Q: What has your journey with Clayton Glass been like?

A: “I’ve worked in the finance department based in Harelaw in the Northeast for six months.

I’m known as the Assistant Finance Business partner, and it basically means I support Wendy, the Finance Business Partner, and the overall team with the work that needs doing. Checking transactions, payroll, and general finance queries.

Every day is different, and I love that.”

Q: What do you enjoy about working at Clayton Glass?

A: “The people. The whole team is great. Wendy made me feel at home, and Mark, the Finance Director, has been very supportive. It’s the dynamic of the office that makes it so enjoyable.

The work can be fast paced depending on the job and varied, like I said, and that makes the day go quicker. There’s always a new challenge, and that gives you a real sense of achievement.

Q: What would you say to someone thinking of joining Clayton Glass?

A:You won’t find a friendlier team from the boardroom to the shop floor. The ethos is great, and there are lots of ways to progress in your career. There’s also always somebody around to help if you have a query or if you’re learning the job. It’s a really supportive atmosphere.

Q: What does the Clayton difference mean to you?

A: “It means us all doing our bit to put our customers first, making sure we give them the best service. While working together as a team.
