Dear Customer,

As we pass the midpoint of 2022, whilst elements of our business have stabilised, others have unfortunately very much not. We are continuing to experience price pressure and shortages on glass, both on standard Low E and at the high-performance end including solar control and self-cleaning products.

In common with many of our customers energy remains a massive concern, equally as does labour, where we are increasing needing to pay a premium to get a sensible quality of employee through our doors. With no further efficiencies left to pursue and in the absence of any sign of a fall in costs, from deliveries 1st October 2022 we will be making the following adjustments to our rates and terms for all glass products –

– STANDARD IGU, SINGLE LEAF PRODUCTS AND ANCILLARIES WILL BE INCREASED BY 10%

I hope you will appreciate we never take such actions lightly, and ultimately this increase is necessary solely to protect and fund what is essentially your own supply chain. It’s also worth noting that the rest of the Clayton Glass customer base have already received an increase in August. We felt it was appropriate to allow our newly acquired customers from the Scotland & Canterbury businesses time to settle in.

With this in mind, it is now crucial that we act for the longevity of our wider business, for the majority of our customers into the longer term. Should you require any clarification or additional information please don’t hesitate to contact your Area Sales Manager.
