Clayton Glass can today announce that we have installed an electric car charging station in our visitor car park.

Here at Clayton Glass we’ve always been committed to doing our bit for the environment, whether it be recycling our unused glass material, or simply using less paper. Fundamentally, this is because we believe it is our responsibility as one of the UK’s largest manufacturing companies to set an example of what can be done when it comes to #goinggreen.

I believe we at Clayton Glass, as a company, are doing that little bit extra, it all makes a difference.

Excitingly, as of last week, we have now taken this a step further with the installation of a brand new, fully operational electric car charging point in our visitor car park – free to use for any visitor with an electric vehicle! The charging point consists of two leads, meaning that two separate vehicles can be charged simultaneously.

We caught up with Jason McCabe, Clayton Glass Commercial Director, to tell us more. “I’ve recently purchased a new electric car as I believe that it is now more important than ever to do our bit for the environment, each of us has a responsibility that we cannot shirk.” Says Jason. “With the installation of this brand new electric car charging point, I believe we at Clayton Glass, as a company, are doing that little bit extra, it all makes a difference.”
