Sharing a passion for glass as a medium for artistic expression, Clayton Glass has partnered with Scottish home improvements specialist, CR Smith, to produce a striking decorative stained-glass window that now takes pride of place in a much-loved home in Paisley.

The bespoke window, measuring 600mm by 1910mm, was created by Clayton’s specialist glass team, working to an idea designed collaboratively between CR Smith and its customer.

The vibrant scene is full of personal symbolism: a radiant yellow sun shines from a clear blue sky, casting its warmth over a zebra looking out through lush green foliage. In the foreground, a grey bird rests among a bed of colourful flowers. Every detail was carefully chosen by the homeowner, making the piece not only an artistic statement but also a deeply personal reflection of her family’s story.

As a long-standing client of Clayton Glass, CR Smith turned to the company without hesitation for this highly intricate commission.

Colin Eadie, Managing Director at CR Smith Manufacturing Ltd said: “Such a bespoke design is always going to be a challenge, but in partnership with Clayton, we knew it could be achieved. Our customer is delighted with the finished window. It is everything she hoped it would be.”

Adding to this, Jason McCabe, Commercial Director at Clayton Glass, commented: “Projects like this show how stained glass can be so much more than decoration, and it was a privilege to bring such a meaningful vision to life. It also represents what can be achieved in partnership with our dedicated customer base.
